This wide brim Solarweave sun hat has a 2 5/8" brim all the way around for practical sun protection. I make this hat out of Solarweave, which is a high tech solar protective fabric that has an "Excellent" UV protection rating of 40-50+. It is nylon supplex, so it is very lightweight, breathable and dries quickly.
It has a drawstring around the head to adjust the size to fit from 21 ½" up to 24 ½" head circumference and also a neck strap to make sure it stays with you at all times. These wide brim sun hats come with CoolMax mesh vents on the side for ventilation and an inner band of wicking material. This helps to keep a cool and dry
head.
I use a dark colored cotton canvas or cotton batik on the underside of the brim. This gives the brim structure and stability and also adds color around the face. This wide brim summer sun hat is ideal for men and women who need a lightweight hat with plenty of protection.
